Some of you may know that an Australian production of The Woman In Black (which has been running in London's West End for the last 17 years!) is due to open in Adelaide in August. I saw an ad for a TV version of this back in 1989 and it scared the stuffing out of me, but now I'm older and not necessarily wiser, the time has come to dig a bit deeper. The play is based on a 1982 novel by one Susan Hill, and I hoped one or two of you here might be able to recommend me a few more of her books. The gothic, Henry James-type ghost stories and her most recent crime efforts look especially interesting .
